1) He is drawn to her skirt. His eyes are trailing behind her. “Why isn’t she noticing me?”, he wonders. He has been waiting for far too long.
2) Jack took an umbrella and opens it. He jumps and whisks down the window like Mary Poppins. “I can be free!”, screams the six year old.
3) Aida looks through the opposite window and says “hangovers be damned, for this is the day”. He swears he will never take the same steps back, owing it to the sweet sunshine outside which does not feel the same as the inside.
4) Thunder clouds are eating up her vanilla sky, as if warning her of the impending danger in this ominous day that every single man and animal would want to avoid. “Damn you!”, Jenny screams. No one moves.
5) “Bang!”. Jenny was awaken by the sound in this rather humid night. She wipes off the wet liquid off her face. The strange thing was that the wet fluid presumed had a trail of muskiness. A drip leaks into her mouth and a stench of metallic taste forced her droopy eyes open. “Blood!” she exclaimed.
6) “This is crap”, Limin murmured while picking up the cds one after the other. Nothing in the music store fits her taste. “Why not try these?”, a stranger offered. After some hesitation, she got it, walks over to her car and pops the disc into the player. The music sounded familiar but as soon as she detected it the music fuzzled out.
7) He can hear her voice in his sleep. This sends his heart up to his throat. She is the worst of the kind he can ever imagine. But it is that eeriness that keeps his night in motion and tonight, she has come again.
Johnny has been working for deadlines since forever. He takes a look at his portfolio, realising his midas touch has now turned into rust.
9) He is searching for a remedy. He needs it. He can’t just vanish away from the world. They need a witness.
10) He can no longer feel gravity. He is feeling so light. Soon, both feet are off the ground. Yes! He can fly!
11) Joel sneaks out of the house silently. He trips on something and falls flat. “You, come with me”, a voice said.
12) Sarah’s dog begins to bark. She tries hushing him but he went on even louder. The strange thing is that on one is around to stir such fury in the dog.
Try thinking about what would lead someone to read the full story but not tell the full story all at once. No. 6 tells me the whole story so it’s not an Opener.
